Silk Creations in the Spirit of Carnival

Kinetika is an international design company with a focus on outdoor arts, events and celebrations. From a London base it brings together culturally and technically diverse artists to create, and share skills in making, new and surprising work that aims to broaden people’s perceptions of the world around them.

We offer:

• Corporate events - We take on large-scale design commissions nationally and internationally, previous events include: FIFA World Cup UAE Opening and Closing Ceremonies in Abu Dhabi, Atlanta Olympics, Kolkata Carnival in India, the unveiling of Nelson Mandela's statue in Parliament Square and many more. • Festival Design - With Ali's previous experience of designing for WOMAD festival, Kinetika can create bespoke flags and backdrops for outdoor festivals and events.
• Street Banners - Kinetika undertakes commissions to decorate high streets and shopping malls, our msot recent set of street banners were seen on Kingston High Street to celebrate the International Youth Arts Festival.
• Carnival costume design and hire - Our costume department consists of over 400 items ranging from large-scale flamboyant carnival garments to lower key easy-to-wear costumes, suitable for children and young artists. We also design and produce bespoke costumes tailored for your specific event.
• Silk Route - Silk Route is inspired by The Silk Routes that were important paths for cultural, commercial and technological exchange from Ancient China to Europe. Today the UK is a vibrant meeting point of diverse cultures from all over the world, Kinetika proposes to engage and work with local groups to create a stunning silk route that lines and animates the streets with flags and banners as the Olympic torch passes through the UK.
• Training and workshops - Kinetika has created an advanced carnival skills training programme called 'The Making of Mas' to pass on our knowledge to the next generation of carnival artists and we are also known for using our unique carnival-inspired model to create exceptional team building experience.
